Hi, I’m Ben Pestell

I have remained active throughout my life, resulting in many injuries and hence visits to physiotherapists. I began climbing in 2017, initially focusing on competitions. However, after moving to Sheffield for university, my interest quickly shifted to an obsession with outdoor bouldering.

I qualified at Sheffield Hallam University with First Class Honours and have since worked within various NHS services. I have accumulated experience in different specialties such as Respiratory medicine, Post surgical management and community based therapy before pursuing and specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

I currently work within a mixture of MSK specialties. I see patients within Hand Therapy, Fracture Clinic and the General MSK service. With this variety I regularly treat and help patients get back to their passions and sports!

I also have training and have a certificate in Level 3 ‘Exercise referral for specific and controlled conditions’. This qualification enable me to work in a gym based environment with those of more complex health needs. Furthermore, I qualified as a Level 2 gym based fitness instructor.
